Improving digital skills for seniors and vulnerable groups

National Project organised an interesting training for older people who are digitally closer to digitalising.

The National Project “Improving the digital skills of seniors and disadvantaged groups in public administration”, organised an interesting training for older people who are digitally closer to digitalising.

Training that took place from 5 to 9 September 2022 was intended for beginners and focused on basic skills for working with the internet and email.

In total, seniors in Bratislava City Library completed 20 hours of teaching. They completed the training with an electronic exit test which demonstrated the level of their acquired experience.

As all participants in the course showed sufficient knowledge and the success of the correct answers was high, the lecturer recommended that they all take part in further advanced and interesting courses.

About the National Project

The Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic (“MIRRI”) and the National Coalition for Digital Skills and Professions of the Slovak Republic (“Digital Coalition”) are implementing a national project worth almost 990,000 euros entitled “Improving the digital skills of seniors and the disadvantaged groups in public administration” (“National project”). The goal of the national project is to create and put into use a complex testing and educational IT platform that will contribute to the sustainability of lifelong learning and a significant improvement of the digital skills of selected target groups.
